Terms of Use

By using o.cafe, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Community Guidelines, and any clear instructions shown next to a particular feature.

If you do not agree, please do not use that feature. Public pages are available without an account. Creating a profile, publishing content, commenting, claiming a project, or starting a GitHub action may require sign-in and additional security checks.

o.cafe is a free project maintained by an independent developer. It provides an AI and open-source directory, creator profiles, project pages, posts, focused community discussions, and GitHub-connected sign-in, claim, and support flows.

It is not an enterprise hosting service, a payment platform, a code-security auditor, or a source of legal, financial, or other professional advice. The product is still evolving, so features, limits, and public availability may change.

The service is currently free. We may add, change, pause, or retire features for maintenance, safety, cost, upstream reliability, or a change in product direction.

We will try not to disrupt user data without good reason, but we cannot promise that the service, a particular feature, or every piece of content will remain available forever. Keep your own copy of anything important.

If we introduce paid features later, we will explain pricing, refunds, and any additional terms before charging anyone.

When sign-in is available, you may use a GitHub account you are authorized to control. You must not impersonate another person, organization, project, or official account.

You are responsible for the security of your GitHub account, device, and session. If you notice an unfamiliar authorization or an account compromise, revoke access and contact us promptly.

We may revoke sessions, restrict writing, or pause an account when we detect a takeover, attack, or serious abuse. Send site vulnerabilities, exposed tokens, cookies, or secrets privately to security@o.cafe.

Projects in the directory may come from public sources such as GitHub and project websites. A listing does not mean the author has joined o.cafe, and it is not an endorsement.

A claim only confirms who may manage a project's presentation on o.cafe. It does not transfer ownership. Do not claim a project you do not own, administer, or have authority to represent.

We may pause a listing or revoke a claim if a project is transferred, made private, deleted, becomes disputed, or is no longer under the verified maintainer's control. Summaries, categories, and labels can be wrong; creators and visitors are welcome to send corrections.

Your content includes your name, bio, project notes, links, posts, comments, reports, and anything else you submit.

You keep your rights in that content. By submitting it, you confirm that you have the right to publish it; that it does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, privacy, reputation, trade secrets, or other rights; that it does not reveal credentials or private information you are not allowed to share; and that you are responsible for its accuracy and the consequences of publishing it.

To operate the service, you give o.cafe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, format, cache, back up, search, distribute, moderate, protect, and generate share cards from your content.

This does not transfer ownership or allow us to sell private content on its own. The license normally ends when content is deleted, although caches, backups, dispute records, and anonymous statistics may take time to clear.

Follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, do not:

• post unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, exploitative, threatening, or privacy-invasive material;
• impersonate a person, company, project, or official account;
• distribute phishing pages, malware, dangerous downloads, or stolen credentials;
• mass-register accounts, spam comments, fake traffic, manipulate rankings, or evade rate limits and bans;
• automate or trade GitHub Stars, follows, or support in bulk, or tie them to rewards;
• post irrelevant ads, repetitive promotion, hidden sponsorships, or unsolicited sales messages;
• scan, probe, reverse-engineer, scrape, or exhaust the service without authorization;
• misuse reporting, copyright, or security channels to target other people.

Normal public browsing, ordinary search indexing, rate-respecting research, and authorized security testing are not prohibited.

Any action that changes GitHub state must be clearly started by the user, with the target and effect visible before it runs.

o.cafe will not present a click, visit, or comment as a completed Star. We do not support automated bulk Stars, forced reciprocity, or systems that make users owe one another support.

GitHub may change its APIs, permissions, or policies. We may therefore pause, simplify, or remove a connected feature. GitHub's own page and API response are the final source of truth for the action.

The directory and community link to third-party code, documentation, installation commands, and websites. Using them can create code-execution, supply-chain, data, account-permission, licensing, cost, and compatibility risks.

Review the source, license, permissions, maintenance status, and security notices yourself. Test unfamiliar software in an isolated environment.

An o.cafe listing, summary, category, label, or recommendation is not a security or quality guarantee, an official endorsement or certification, or professional advice.

To protect people and the service, we may reject or reduce distribution, hide or remove content, disconnect a dangerous link, close a discussion, restrict a feature, revoke creator access or a project claim, or suspend an account.

For ordinary disputes, we will try to provide the main reason and a way to appeal. Phishing, malware, account compromise, credible threats, severe privacy exposure, and other urgent risks may be handled before notice. Reporting and appeals are explained in the Community Guidelines.

If a project name, author, repository link, license, summary, category, claim, or status is clearly wrong, send the correct source to hi@o.cafe.

For copyright, trademark, impersonation, name, likeness, privacy, reputation, ownership, or other rights concerns, please include:

• the exact URL of the material;
• your contact details and your relationship to the work, project, or person;
• the issue, the outcome you are asking for, and any necessary source or authorization;
• a good-faith statement that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Send only what is needed and redact unrelated details from IDs, contracts, or private records. We may correct attribution, add context, disconnect a link, revoke a claim, limit distribution, temporarily hide material, or remove it.

o.cafe is not a court and will not permanently decide a complex ownership dispute on one person's assertion alone. Affected publishers may respond with a license, authorization, or evidence of authorship. Impersonating a rights holder, fabricating evidence, or using a complaint to suppress fair criticism is abuse.

To the extent allowed by applicable law, o.cafe is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, permanent storage, perfectly accurate summaries or translations, safe or lawful third-party projects, or any particular number of Stars, visits, customers, partnerships, or any particular ranking.

To the extent allowed by law, o.cafe and its maintainer are not responsible for losses caused by third-party projects, code, links, user content, outside services, lost profits, lost data, reputational harm, or business interruption.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or protects deliberate unlawful or malicious conduct.

We may update these terms when the product, risks, or service providers change. We will use a site notice, page notice, or another reasonable method for important changes. Features that need separate consent will ask before use.
